Microsoft has announced that it will end support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 on 14 January 2020 as they come to the end of their 10-year cycle. By ending support for these products, it allows Microsoft to focus on new and improved technologies. If you continue to use Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 after support has ended, you will be at high risk of cybersecurity threats and viruses, as Microsoft will no longer issue important software or security updates.
Installation of Windows 10
Some PCs will be too old or slow to run Windows 10. If your computer does not qualify and you do not want to purchase a new computer, we may be able to provide a hardware upgrade which includes:
- 8 GB RAM (memory)
- 500 GB Solid State Disk
After the hardware upgrade, qualifying PCs will be able to run Windows 10.
